Janet Jackson Covers Billboard Ahead Of Receiving Icon Award
It's a celebration of all things Janet Jackson this week, with the icon celebrating her 52nd birthday, the 25th anniversary of 1993 album janet. and being awarded the Billboard Icon Award at this Sunday's Billboard Music Awards. To mark the occasion, Billboard devoted the cover of its May 19th issue to the living legend and included an interview with famed music writer David Ritz in which Janet talks motherhood and her musical legacy. One of the interview's best quotes comes as Janet reflects on the place she's at now in her career. "The drive is in my DNA," she says of her focus and dedication.
