Black Milk Delivers A Haunting & Sentimental Visual For 'Could It Be'

Detroit-bred rapper Black Milk is spending the majority of 2018 on the road, recently returning from the European leg of his FEVER Tour and next week he embarks on the U.S. leg that has 30 dates for fans to catch him live. In between his musical trek, he partnered with Gerard Victor to create a stunning visual for the track "Could It Be" from his latest album FEVER. The premise is a regular night out with friends, that quickly turns into a sentimental one when we realize an old friend has joined the festivities.

The group of guys ride around and listen to a new track from a budding rapper in their crew, and they muse that their old friend Jay would've loved it. However, it turns out that Jay is still with them and tagging along for their night out. Distinguished by a special color treatment throughout the video and having no interaction with the group, it's soon clear that he's no longer among the living and serves as their guardian angel of sorts. As Jay watches over his friends who end up at a kickback, you can't help but wonder who's still rooting for and watching over you from the afterlife.

FEVER is Black Milk's sixth solo rap album and his first since 2014's If There’s a Hell Below. Released in February, the soulful 12-track project touches on issues such as racism, social media addiction and much more, and it's available from your favorite digital retailer. You can also catch Black Milk and Nat Turner Band on the FEVER U.S. tour when it kicks off on Wednesday, June 13th in San Diego and strategically ends in Detroit with two dates in August. Take a peek at the full roster of tour dates after you watch the video for "Could It Be," and see if Black Milk tugs at your heartstrings with the poignant tribute to the ones we've lost.
