The Internet To Bring Their 'Hive Mind' To A City Near You On Upcoming Tour

The Internet has been riding high this summer thanks to the release of their fourth studio album, Hive Mind, last month. It's only fitting that the L.A.-based outfit would plan to spread their charm well into the latter half of the year by taking their show on the road with their upcoming 30-date North American tour, which kicks off October 8th in Toronto.

The Hive Mind Tour's first four dates will find the band hitting the stage in support of Gorillaz before branching out on their own with stops at Atlanta's Afropunk Festival, Chicago, Vancouver, Seattle, Houston, New Orleans and Boston. With plans to add more dates in weeks to come, the tour's current final stop will be in Detroit, where SydMatt MartiansSteve Lacy, Patrick Paige II and Christopher Smith will wrap things up with a performance at the historic Saint Andrews Hall.

As previously mentioned, the tour comes on the heels of the release of the band's latest critically-acclaimed album, Hive Mind, which thus far has seen the release of singles "Roll (Burbank Funk)," "Come Over" and "La Di Da." The tour also follows a particularly prolific break for the band's members in which Syd, Martians, Lacy and Paige all released solo material, in addition to collaborating with a host of other artists. More recently, Lacy's work as a producer made it to the season 3 premiere of Issa Rae's HBO hit Insecure when singer Ravyn Lenae's slinky "Sticky" popped up in Sunday night's episode. The Internet clearly has no plans of slowing down anytime soon in their quest for musical domination, which is a major win for music fans the world over. As we await their next move and continue to wear out our copies of Hive Mind, be sure to check them out when they bring their show to a stage near you. Tickets for the Hive Mind Tour are currently on sale on the band's website.
