Meek Mill Donates 6,000 Backpacks To Philly Students
Meek Mill always puts on for Philly, so his latest effort is no surprise. The rapper has donated 6,000 backpacks to students as they get ready for the new school year. The backpacks are for students whose families are struggling financially. He also took time to personally deliver the backpacks to schools in the city, including his elementary alma mater James G. Blaine Elementary School, as part of an initiative he's started with Puma, Fanatics, United Legwear and Milano di Rogue. Remarking about his efforts, Meek told TMZ, "Those memories stay with me and that’s why I’m committed to giving back to families in my hometown, putting smiles on kids’ faces and helping them start the school year on the right note with the right supplies." #MeeksLovesThsKids
