The Weeknd Sued For $5 Milli Over 'Starboy'

The Daft Punk-produced "Starboy" was a pretty big hit for R&B star The Weeknd, but was it really his hit to begin with? Somali-American artist Yasminah says no. The singer-songwriter claims that he copied her song "Jewel Of My Life (Hooyo)" for the single and she's suing him, Daft Punk and Republic Records for $5 million to prove it. She also claims that she has hired a lawyer to address the situation before and even landed on a settlement, though her record label pocketed the money.  The Weeknd has yet to address the manner, but a quick listen to both songs does shiw a few passing similarities. We'll keep you posted as this one develops. #DidHeStealItOrNah
