Following the release of her self-produced EP LAPIS earlier this year, singer/songwriter/visual artist Nanna.B is gearing up to release a full-length album with the help of some of L.A.’s most sought after producers. For the project’s lead single “Magnetars,” Iman Omari blesses the track with his signature brand of hazy, soulful goodness. Nanna sings of the kind of separate togetherness that only comes with true love over a dreamy groove laced with angelic chords and a beat mimicking the skip of a heartbeat. She sings, “So we dancin’ like magnetars / Movin’ among the stars / Amazin’, just how we are / Close, and yet so far.”
The Dutch-born beauty describes her upcoming album Solen as a depiction of her personal journey as a woman, artist and her relentless search for home and belonging. She says, “On this 12-track journey I'm going through various experiences and moods that touches upon joy, creativity, depression, inner strength and power, love, separation and courage. I wanted to make an album that reflected my journey as a human and artist, the growing comfortable in my own skin, the discovery of my own power and strength, which I really found by moving out of my comfort zone in Denmark. Almost like an unfolding of myself.” Now making her home in Los Angeles, she’s managed to garner the attention and support of some the area’s elite producers including Anderson .Paak, MNDSGN, Shafiq Husayn and others. With such amazing talent creating in unison, this project has the potential to be a masterpiece and we can’t wait to hear it.
