SoulBounce Exclusive: Shallise Has Moved On & Wants Her Ex To Do The Same In 'Boy Bye'

It's said that breaking up is hard to do, and while that holds true for many a relationship that's come to the end of the road, that's not always the case. When some people are done, they are done. Singer Shallise is one of those people. The London-based singer-songwriter lets an old flame know how done she is on her new single "Boy Bye."

According to Shallise, the song is based on a past experience with a bugaboo of an old boyfriend who just won't get gone. "'Boy Bye' is about an ex wanting a second chance and doesn’t want to accept the fact that I have no interest and have moved on to better things,” she admits and makes her absolute lack of interest crystal clear on the track produced by fellow LondonerGrandLS Music. She sweetly sings and brings the trendy dismissive phrase to life over his brooding synths and thumping drums with a '90s R&B feel and appeal.

"I don't want anything to do with you / So why you keep coming back?" she questions at one point in the song, truly perplexed by her ex trying to act right now. Unfortunately for him, it's too much too little too late for them to ever try again, and Shallise breaks down exactly why, singing, "I found me another guy who loves me right / So boy, bye. Boy, bye." She has moved on to better things indeed.
