JAY-Z Clears Up Presumed Kanye Dis From His Verse On 'What's Free'
The on-again-off-again friendship between JAY-Z and Kanye West has made headlines once again after a guest verse Jay delivered on Meek Mill's latest album got the rumor mill spinning. On the track "What's Free," Jay raps, "No red hat, don’t Michael and Prince me and Ye / They separate you when you got Michael and Prince’s DNA / I ain’t one of these house n****s you bought / My house like a resort, my house bigger than yours/ My spou – c’mon, man.” Many felt that the rhyme was a diss to Yeezy and his recent behavior. However, Jay made a rare visit to Twitter to clear up all the hubbub before things got out of hand. "The line clearly meant don’t pit me against my brothers no matter what our differences are (red hat) now go pick up Meek album. Drake and Meek on there together,” Jay tweeted. Ye then got in on things, responding to the tweet with simply "throne 2" and a shrug emoji. Guess that clears things up. #ButAreWeGettingThrone2OrNah
