Robin Thicke & Pharrell Ordered To Pay Millions As 'Blurred Lines' Suit Comes To Close

Although it seemed like the contentious "Blurred Lines" lawsuit between the family of Marvin Gaye and Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams would never come to an end, it's all finally done. A California judge issued a final verdict in the case, ordering Thicke and Pharrell to cough up nearly $5 million. Robin and P are jointly responsible to pay an estimated $2.8 million in damages to Marvin Gaye's family and Thicke on his own is on the hook for 1.76 million. Pharrell's music publishing company More Water From Nazareth, meanwhile, has to pay $357,630.96. In addition to the damages, the family is now also entitled to half the royalties from "Blurred Lines" going forward. While we're sure all parties are glad that this is done, that's a lot of money. #Sheesh
