Marvin Gaye & Gregory Hines To Get Commemorative Forever Stamps

If you, like us, love when our legends get honored, then you're gonna love this. The United States Postal Service has announced the latest crop of names to be honored with commemorative Forever stamps and two black music and stage icons are in the number. Soul singer Marvin Gaye and triple-threat tap-dancing legend and actor Gregory Hines will both get stamps in the series in 2019. Marvin's stamp features an illustration of the singer done by Kadir Nelson while Hines' stamp is an image from a 1988 photo session. "The miniature works of art illustrated in the 2019 stamp program offer something for everyone's interest about American history and culture," said U.S. Postal Service Stamp Services Executive Director Mary-Anne Penner. "From legendary poet Walt Whitman to the entertainment genius of Gregory Hines to the majestic beauty of our Wild and Scenic Rivers, this program is diverse and wide-ranging and tells America's story on stamps." #HonorOurLegends
