Lionel Richie And Teddy Riley & Friends To Headline 14th Annual Jazz In The Gardens Music Fest

A new year has begun and concert promoters are already tempting us to break our "spend less, save more" resolutions. Our favorite musical festivals have begun announcing lineups and it's looking like 2019 is gonna be another Bounce-Worthy year. We're pretty excited about the recent Coachella announcement, but before we make our way to the desert, Jazz In The Gardens Music Fest is inviting us to experience a different kind of heat.

Now in its 14th year, Jazz In The Gardens has earned a reputation as “the adult winter break destination.” Clearly, they know how to cater to grown folks, and they've got the lineup to prove it. The two-day festival will be headlined by legendary singer-songwriter Lionel Richie and the Architect of the New Jack Swing, Teddy Riley – well, Teddy Riley & Friends, to be more specific.

If you know anything about Teddy, he has A LOT of talented friends. His crew will include Blackstreet with Dave Hollister; the R&B Kang himself Bobby Brown; rap pioneer and human beatbox Doug E. Fresh; the funky divas of En Vogue and R&B favorites Jagged Edge. Capping off the R&B lineup are iconic legends The O’Jays and petite powerhouse Stephanie Mills.

Crowds will also get to witness eclectic violinists Black Violin and gospel dynamo Tye Tribbett. Rounding out the amazing talent roster are the Jazz in the Gardens Jazz All-Stars, featuring jazzy songstress Maysa, GRAMMY-nominated guitarist Chieli Minucci, jazz bass guitarist Gerald Veasley, fusion-oriented keyboardist Lao Tizer and celebrated saxophonist Nelson Rangell.

The 14th Annual Jazz In The Gardens Music Fest takes place on March 9th and 10th in sunny Miami Gardens, Florida. Tickets are available now via the official website.
