DMV Bouncers: Attend The Watch Party For The Relaunch Of 'Beyond The Lyrics' With Cecily

If you remember the early days of BET, then you may recall when they had programming on the cable network such as Video Soul where artists would come on to have a conversation with host Donnie Simpson in between live performances and the hottest videos being played. Video Soul is long gone, but here to fill the void, on a local level at least, is the DMV's Beyond The Lyrics.

Produced by Sherri Thompson in Northern Virginia, Beyond The Lyrics is described as "an entertainment show that engages the DC/MD/VA region's emerging artists as well as notable entertainers, dignitaries, creators and producers in 30 minutes of lively conversations and live music performances." Past guests included indie soul artists Frank McComb and Kenny Wesley before it went on hiatus for a few years. Now Thompson has brought the program back, and the first guest on the newly relaunched series is D.C. songbird Cecily.

To celebrate the return of Beyond The Lyrics, there'll be a special screening of Cecily's episode on the evening of Wednesday, February 27th at Songbyrd Music House & Cafe in Washington, D.C. After the screening, there'll be a Q&A with Cecily conducted by Erik Humphrey of Quiet on the Set Magazine and a performance from the songstress. SoulBounce will also be there with a special Shop @ SoulBounce pop-up shop where attendees can purchase our exclusive apparel and accessories live and direct.
