If you happened to miss the 2019 Bounce Trumpet Awards last night, which went head-to-head with this year's NBA All-Star Game, then you missed another quality celebration of Black Excellence. Among the honorees was Rodney "Darkchild" Jenkins who took home the Musical Excellence Award. Prior to receiving his award, Darkchild was serenaded with a few of the hit songs that he's written and produced over the years by Keyshia Cole, Jade Novah, Justine Skye and Sevyn Streeter. All of the ladies were great, but Jade Novah was exceptional as she sang "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child in the key of Beyoncé. Her time on stage may have been brief, but she made quite an impact.
Novah continues to keep our attention on her with today's release of the music video for her single "Cosmic Love." One of the cuts from her stellar debut album All Blue, "Cosmic Love" is the latest track to get the visual treatment and it's equally as stunning as her previous videos. That's thanks in large part to Jade herself, whom the camera loves. For "Cosmic Love," the focus is once again solely on the singer who sings about her lover who's out of this world while on a dark set made to look like the cosmos complete with planets, constellations and shooting stars. Not only does Jade flex with her vocals, but she displays some lithe dance moves as she gets caught up in the rapture singing about her "Cosmic Love."
The release of Jade Novah's "Cosmic Love" video coincides with her Cosmic Love Tour that kicks off this week. The 12-city tour will take the songbird across the country, kicking off on Friday, February 22nd in New York City and ending on Monday, March 18th in San Francisco. Along the way, she'll hit major cities in the U.S. and Canada, among them Boston, Toronto, D.C., Chicago, Houston and Los Angeles. If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, secure them now via her website before they sell out and get ready for Jade Novah to take you on a sonic journey beyond the heavens.
