Jennifer Lopez Set To Headline GRAMMYs Motown Tribute...Wait, What?

You know who didn't turn the GRAMMYs producers down, though? Jennifer Lopez. The singer has been announced as the headliner of a Motown tribute that will occur during this year's telecast. Upon hearing the news a collective "why tho?!" was voiced by most of Black Twitter. No other performers taking place in the tribute have been announced, but there have to be, right? That remains to be seen. We do know that Diana Ross is set to take the stage at some point, so we're hoping she has something to do with it. A full-on (and hopefully J. Lo-free tribute in celebration of the legendary label's 60th anniversary will also be recorded on February 12th in LA and is set to air on April 21st. Speaking of GRAMMYs tributes, who will be paying tribute to the late Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin during the proceedings has also been announced. Expect to hear stirring tributes from singers Yolanda AdamsFantasia and Andra Day in honor of the soul music royal when the GRAMMYs air this Sunday at 8 p.m. EST. #ThisShouldBeInteresting
