It Ain't Sweet For R. Kelly In Australia Either

With the climate surrounding R. Kelly turning pretty sour since the airing of Lifetime's Surviving R. Kelly in the States, the musician has rightfully become persona non grata (quite literally in the city of Philadelphia). It looks like that sentiment is shared internationally as well, though. The singer learned this when he announced an international tour via Twitter. Though he offered no links to purchase tickets, he did announce that he'd be hitting countries like Australia, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Welp, it turns out the folks Down Under don't want s**t to the do the pied piper of R&B, either. The announcement was met with a few derisive tweets, including one user writing, "I thought the days of sending criminals to Australia was over." Another was a bit more direct, writing, "Someone let this fool know that we don’t want his pedophile rapist looking a** in Australia!" It goes further than just fans though, as even Australia's political figures don't want him there. Australian Labor Party politician Shayne Neumann questioning why the singer-songwriter would even step foot on Aussie shores. "Labor would be seriously concerned if Immigration Minister David Coleman would allow an individual such as R. Kelly into Australia," Neumann said. Oop. Maybe Robert might want to rethink his tour plans. #YoureNotWelcome
