We're still basking in the glow of learning that we'll be getting a new album from Rahsaan Patterson this year. Of course, it doesn't hurt that the lead single from the upcoming Heroes & Gods is the sublime slow jam "Sent From Heaven." We haven't stopped raving about the track ever since its release and — judging by the amount of attention that it has been getting — you guys are pretty crazy about it, too. As artists are wont to do nowadays, Rahsaan has released a lyric video so you can bask in the song's ethereal glow and actually sing along.
While we've definitely given this enough spins that we know these lyrics by heart, everything is spelled out in the video. A glowing background featuring swirls of light and color act as the backdrop while the song's romantic words are displayed in bold white type. It's a simple approach that allows us to mellow out and simply enjoy what's being uttered by Rahsaan (it also helped some of us realize that we'd gotten some of the words to the bridge all wrong).
