JAMESDAVIS Returns With A 'MASTERPEACE'

Back when they were known as James Davis, the Inglewood-raised sibling trio of Jess Reynolds, Erika "Rey" Reynolds and AusTon Reynolds caught the attention of music lovers everywhere with their self-titled debut EP. In the four years that have since elapsed, the Motown signees have had plenty of time to refine their genre-blending sound, blessing fans with projects like 2018's Lamplighter Vol 1. Now dubbed JAMESDAVIS, they're back with a new EP entitled MASTERPEACE that is sure to stay in heavy rotation.

The self-produced EP is a true familial effort with fraternal twins Jess and Rey cowriting songs with younger brother AusTon. Additionally, Rey plays guitar and AusTon handles the keys while Jess bangs percussion. All three are impressive singers as well, alternating between hooks and verses so we're able to experience the full breadth of their talents. With themes ranging scope from navigating the gritty streets ("Black Leather Bag," "Dodger Black"), to conflict resolution ("Something to Talk About," "I Will"), to the blissful feel of falling in love ("MASTERPEACE") or yearning lust ("You Light My Fire," "On the Way") each of the seven tracks on MASTERPEACE is a textured, melodic work of art.

The trio recently wrapped a gig as opening act for Leikeli47 on her The Acrylic Tour. They were so good, she tapped them to join the six-date European leg which kicks off on May 17th.
