Dinah Jane Proves She's Heard It All Before On ELLE's 'Song Association'

Fifth Harmony alum and rising solo R&B songstress Dinah Jane has been climbing the charts with her recent hit single “Heard It All Before.” But has she heard enough music to play ELLE’s Song Association? For those not familiar with the concept of the web sensation, celebrity guests are given a word and have to sing a song featuring that word before time runs out. Now that we’ve got the basics out of the way, let’s see how well our girl Dinah did.

Stepping up to the plate with much confidence and a little practice, Dinah Jane got three in a row by singing Keyshia Cole’s hit “Love,” Beyoncé’s “Ego" and The Weeknd’s “I Feel It Coming.” She slipped, however, when it came time to find a song with the word “time” in it. It sounded like she wanted to sing Madonna’s “4 Minutes” but couldn’t quite figure out the lyrics before the buzzer. She quickly rebounded, though, giving us vocals for songs like Alicia Key’s “Fallin’,” Busy Signal’s “You and Me” and Ariana Grande’s “Next.”

Dinah managed to get 14/15 — not quite besting current reigning queen Ciara, but still besting Chloe x Halle, Rita Ora and Tove Lo. Watch Dinah flex her song knowledge below.
