Emotional Oranges Want You To Put It Down In The Bedroom On 'Don't Be Lazy'

Though little is known about the Los Angeles-based collective Emotional Oranges, we do know that they have an infectious knack for creating one helluva groove. After garnering attention with the success of their first EP The Juice Vol. 1, the group soon obtained notable and public cosigns from the likes of The Joe Budden Podcast, Guy Fieri and even our forever First Lady, Michelle Obama. Even the most discerning music snob, who might find their mystery annoying, can’t deny their masterful blend of funky basslines, hip-hop-inspired beats and jazz-laden guitars to create a futuristic sound that is somehow a tad bit retro.

Their latest single “Don’t Be Lazy” is a catchy, uptempo bop that serves as the perfect prelude to some adult time on a steamy summer night. According to a recent Instagram post, the track’s repetitive chorus was apparently sparked from an unmet request for “another ‘round” between two lovers. The lyrics take things a bit further and detail exactly what is desired, noting, “Don't be lazy / What's your favorite / Let me lick and taste it / Just one more time.” We can all agree that if there is one place where laziness will not be tolerated, it’s the bedroom.

In addition to hinting at the upcoming release of The Juice Vol 2, the group has also announced their A Very Emotional Tour, which kicks off this fall in Tokyo. With global dates across the U.S., Australia and Europe, this is one tour you don’t want to miss. Grab tickets on their website, and follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more updates.
