We're 'Enchanted' By Chloe x Halle's Cover For Netflix's 'Breaking Bad' Sequel

It's been over a decade since Breaking Bad premiered on AMC. The award-winning show allowed us to watch an unassuming, cancer-stricken high school chemistry teacher named Walter White (Bryan Cranston) morph into "the danger" plaguing Albuquerque, a crystal meth master chef known as "Heisenberg." The series ended its successful run back in 2013, leaving fans with severe withdrawal symptoms. But thanks to Netflix, a fix is just a click away. And now that the streaming giant has announced an official sequel, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, we suspect binge-watching sessions of the show's five seasons will be at an all-time high.

El Camino will pick up where the series ended, following the journey of Walter's cooking partner Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) "as he runs from his captors, the law and his past." In anticipation of the movie, Netflix has released an unconventional trailer. Rather than show scenes from the upcoming flick, we get a recap of the nightmarish reality Jesse endured during the show's run. It's quite effective (and agonizing), particularly thanks to the soundtrack – a haunting rework of The Platters' "Enchanted" provided by Chloe x Halle.

True fans may remember the original song being used in Season 2 as Jesse tries heroin for the first time, confirming that the Bailey sisters' cover is no mere coincidence. With their signature harmonies and elastic vocal range, the duo gives us goosebumps as they transform the oldie-but-goodie into an eerie delight. The sparse accompaniment of the self-produced track allows the focus to remain on their ethereal voices, providing us with a false sense of security as we watch all hell break loose on screen. Peep the "trailer" below to get captivated by Chloe x Halle's reimagining of "Enchanted." Netflix's El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie will premiere on October 11th, so stock up on blue rock candy for your viewing party.

As for Chloe x Halle, they're currently working on their sophomore album. Fans can also expect them to reprise their roles on grown-ish (which they recently dropped two songs for) when it returns for its third season in 2020. We'll have to wait even longer to see Halle debut as Ariel in Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. In the meantime, keep up with these talented sisters on Twitter and Instagram.
