Rapper, singer, multi-instrumentalist and party starter who gets everyone turnt Anderson .Paak paid a special visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform his hit single “Make It Better” featuring living legend Smokey Robison. And he actually brought living legend with him on the show. Anderson and Smokey turned a casual performance a memorable one for both the in-studio audience and everyone watching at home.
Dressed in a dapper red suit, Anderson and his merry band the Free Nationals accented by a four-piece, all-female string section and two background singers serenaded the audience with the soulful jam from Ventura. Anderson was all in his soul singer bag, delivering a fine live performance that was smoother than silk. After setting the tone, .Paak introduced Mr. Robinson who strode out on Jimmy Kimmel's stage in a spiffy gray suit to show the young whippersnapper how it's done. Smokey sang portions of the second verse, making the song into more of a true duet and harmonizing at times with Anderson. The finale of the song found .Paak contributing some hilarious ad-libs while Smoke repeated the chorus. They ended their set with a hug to raucous applause.
