The Black Eyed Peas pleasantly surprised when they dropped last year's Masters Of The Sun, Vol. 1. The album marked the group's return to the original hip-hop sound that first introduced us to them way back in the '90s with slamming tracks like "Dopeness" and "Constant." Don't be fooled, though. The fellas still know how to craft international pop hits. Case in point, their new jam "eXplosion," a colorful collaboration with Brazilian artist Anitta that the crew has released ahead of their appearance at this year's Rock In Rio festival.
"eXplosion" capitalizes on the sounds of Brazil with horns, a reggaeton rhythm and enough bass to rock any block. Meanwhile, the Black Eyed Peas trade verses with Anitta about just how fine they find one another. They bring that same fun vibe to the song's video. The clip is, well, an explosion of color — which represents just how colorful a city Rio really is. When the fellas aren't jockeying to get Anitta's attention, the singer is shaking her thing with a smile as she works her charm. The clip also includes a troupe of colorfully dressed dancers who make it hot while rockin' on a rooftop.
In addition to Rock In Rio, the Peas have another appearance in São Paulo on October 4th as well as a handful of other international dates in the coming weeks. You can check them out below after you catch the clip for "eXplosion" right here.
