Deborah Cox Is Ready For 'Some Christmas' Right Now

Just last month, we happened to casually mention that more new music from Deborah Cox would be a welcome treat. Now, a few weeks after blessing us with "Easy Way," the Canadian songbird is making one of our Christmas wishes come true with a new single called "Gimme Gimme Gimme Some Christmas."

Although the title may sound like a spoiled brat demanding gifts, "Gimme Some Christmas" is actually an amorous holiday groove with retro vibes and infectious energy.  Ms. Cox infuses the cheeky lyrics with plenty of soul as she sings, "Let's catch a sleigh home / And get us both out of these winter clothes / Take me for a twirl in this marshmallow world / I'll show you how to ring those jingle bells." It's no wonder she describes the festive ditty as "a sassy and slightly naughty song,” adding, “That’s what I love about it. I feel it has a classic and timeless feel that could become a season(al) favorite.”

In addition to being featured in the Disney film, Noelle (starring Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader), "Gimme Gimme Gimme Some Christmas" is currently available for download on major digital platforms. Rumor has it that Deborah Cox has another song making the holiday rounds – an update of the classic, "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!," recorded for/airing exclusively on Sirius XM stations like Heart & Soul (Ch. 48). After the holidays, stay tuned to Deborah Cox's website for updates on what's in store (hint: it's a new album) for 2020.
