Kaytranada Sets A Simple Vibe With 'Puff Lah' Visual

A week after dropping his much-anticipated album BUBBA, super-producer Kaytranada surprised fans with the visual for one of the project’s standout tracks, "Puff Lah." While “Puff Lah” is one of the shortest songs on the album, the groovy instrumental packs quite a punch. Its penetrating bass line paired with Kaytra’s signature percussion sends the listener into a serious head nod for its full 1:53 runtime and will likely prompt more than a few taps of the rewind button.

The accompanying video directed by Liam McRae is also simple in its complexity. Shot analog-style, we watch Kaytranada’s shadowy image strike a few poses under a green-hued streetlight in an empty rooftop parking garage space. McRae adds to the capture’s spacey vibe by occasionally rotating the camera. Though visually entrancing, the track itself remains the star of the show.

Known for his knack for collaborating with some of the industry’s most notable artists, Kaytra’s 17-track sophomore effort boasts an extensive list of features including Kali Uchis, Pharrell Williams, Masego, GoldLink, SiR, Mick Jenkins and others. While fans stateside anxiously wait for more tour dates, SoulBouncers in Australia and New Zealand can grab tickets to catch him live for five dates in January.
