We're Not 'Mad At' Kiana Ledé

Kiana Ledé is working hard to keep her name in everyone’s mouth. Especially the haters. But according to her new single “Mad At Me.,” no one has a reason to hate her for doing her own thing. Especially an ex who didn’t know what he got until it was gone.

Produced by Rice N Peas, “Mad At Me.” flips OutKast’s “So Fresh, So Clean” into an ode to an ex-lover who has the vapors. “I been on my hot s**t lately, can't be mad at me (Mm-mm) / You been on some f**k s**t lately, keep that distance please,” she coos on the chorus. While Kiana is giving us well-deserved attitude and sass in the lyrics, the midtempo production courtesy of Rice N Peas is actually pretty laid back, creating the perfect sound bed for Ms. Ledé to flaunt just how unbothered she is.

“Mad At Me.” comes on the heels of previous loosies “Title” and “Easy Breezy” and is expected to be featured on Kiana Ledé’s debut album, KL1. The singer-actress has made a strong impression with her three EPs, Soulfood Sessions, Selfless and 2019’s Myself, so we fully expect a solid and soulful album from the artist.
