Full Crate Vows To Do Better On 'I'm Trying'

Dutch DJ and super-producer Full Crate continues on his trek towards self-improvement and creative expansion, and he is taking us along for the ride. After adding a bit of heat to 2020’s cold start with the release of five club mixes via his Edits & Remixes, Vol. 1 EP, he returns to his run of original music with his latest single, “I’m Trying.” Once again, we tag on to his journey of self-reflection and the result is relatable, soul-soothing goodness. Still flexing his vocal muscles, he rides the track’s catchy hook and declares, “I’m trying to be a better me (Sing it with me, yo) / I’m trying to fix myself so we can be happy (I wanna be happy) / I’m trying to be a better me / I’m trying to fix myself so we can be free.”

Further broadening his expressive range, he directed the accompanying visual, alongside artist Lafa Taylor. The easy-going video features Full Crate performing the life-affirming anthem while roaming the streets of Los Angeles on a bike, perched in a tree and alongside a car. Both the track and the capture are so refreshingly engaging, it's hard to imagine his hesitation in sharing them. He says, “I have been so nervous about releasing this record & video because it’s such a current subject in my life, but I am so proud of the progress and hope to inspire everyone to try to be a better version of themselves.”
