Jhené Aiko Searches For 'Happiness Over Everything' With Miguel & Future & Announces 'The Magic Hour' Tour

As she gears up for the release of her upcoming album, ChilomboJhené Aiko is dusting off and reclaiming one of her earlier songs and breathing new life into it thanks to a reworked track called "Happiness Over Everything (H.O.E.)" featuring guest appearances from Miguel and Future.

The song originally appeared on her 2011 mixtape Sailing Soul(s) and also featured singer Miguel along with Gucci Mane. This time around, she replaces Gucci with Future and moves away from the languid vibes of the original, kicking things up a notch or two by injecting the song with a decidedly hip-hop/R&B feel and updating the verses to fit her 2020 mood. The updated version is perfect for the house party that plays out in the accompanying music video in which Aiko finds herself juggling several potential suitors. She stays on-brand as she turns the tables on traditional social constructs with her unique blend of vulnerability and assertiveness as her friends and sister Mila J enjoy the vibes.

"Happiness Over Everything (H.O.E.)" is just the latest single to be taken from her highly-anticipated album, which will drop on March 6th via Def Jam Recordings, and comes on the heels of singles "P*$$Y Fairy (OTW)," "Triggered" and "None of Your Concern."
