Ledisi Logs Some Time In The Studio In 'Anything For You'

The quarantine has forced folks to be pretty creative while maintaining the necessary isolation to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. That includes unprecedented tricks to make phoned-in performances feel just as professional as live outings and finding new ways to promote new singles and albums. We've already seen a couple versions of the quarantine music video, including Kiana Ledé and Ari Lennox's inspired use of FaceTime for "Chocolate." Ledisi presents another approach with the video for her recent single "Anything For You."

Lensed by her hubby Ron T. Young, the treatment is as simple as one woman, one camera and one studio. We see Ledisi in her element at a recording studio looking as fabulous as ever while rocking a braided mohawk and smizing better than Tyra Banks herself as she sings about her willingness to do anything for the love of her life. During her walkthrough we see her posing it up among the decorated walls, listening to music and, of course, performing the song for the camera. There's a visible joy on her face throughout that radiates beyond the camera and sells the song even more (just when we thought we couldn't possibly fall deeper in love with Ledisi).

As we get used to this new (and hopefully temporary) normal, it's nice to know that someone like Ledisi will always find a way to deliver the heart and soul that we need to help us make it through. Check her out right here and make sure to support by purchasing "Anything For You" from your retailer of choice.
