SoulBounce Exclusive: James Vickery Slows Things Down With 'Turn Me On' LIVE From London

America might be the birthplace of soul music, but other countries have taken the sound and put their own unique stamp on it. That's especially true of the UK, which even has its own subgenre that's bubbling over with talented artists. One such singer is James Vickery, who has been steadily dropping quality music for years now. The singer-songwriter dropped his latest EP Overture in March and has also been thrilling fans with his LIVE From London video series which features live performances of tracks from the EP and his previous release Until Morning at various locations around his hometown. We at SoulBounce are happy to bring you the official premiere of his latest video in the series, a searing performance of Overture track "Turn Me On."

James and his band chose The Record Store at The Old Vinyl Factory in Hayes, London for this edition. Setting up shop on a mostly empty floor, the fellas get to work recreating the smooth groove. The band lays down bedroom-ready jam while forming a circle around James. The singer, clad in a bright yellow Supreme jacket, provides the vocal fireworks. Starting soft and sweet, he builds with intensity as the song progresses, taking us from quiet and slightly unsure to bold and daring over the song's three-minute runtime.

You can check out James Vickery doing the damn thing with "Turn Me On" below and get into his entire LIVE from London video series here.
