Jhené Aiko came back in a big way with the release of her new album Chilombo back in March. However, she isn't done yet. The singer-songwriter will release a deluxe version of the set in the coming weeks. She's keeping what exactly that edition of the album will bring close to her chest. She is, however, willing to share something new in the form of a visual for her track "Magic Hour."
The song itself is a tranquil meditation on love, with Jhené singing of a love that simultaneously swept her off her feet and anchored her in reality. She keeps those chill vibes going in the video, which begins with a tight close-up on her visage. The camera pans away slowly throughout the course of the song, revealing an idyllic view beyond her. First, we see a multi-hued sky, then eventually a horizon and the sea before we realize that the singer is resting on a tranquil beach as she offers a serene glance before the video fades to black. She also includes a bouncing star and the song's lyrics to help those that might want to sing along with her.
The current pandemic might've halted her The Magic Hour Tour for the time being, but we wouldn't say that Jhené Aiko is letting that slow her stride one bit. Get into the calming visual for "Magic Hour" when you press play and pre-order the deluxe version of Chilombo so that you can be among the first to get it when it arrives on May 22nd.
