After releasing a new song each month since March, rising star Lola Young has compiled the trilogy of singles onto her new EP Renaissance. Composed of singles "Pick Me Up," “None For You” and "Same Bed," the project is Young's drama-filled love diary. This final drop, "Same Bed," takes a raw and honest look at her repeated behavior in relationships, noting that the same mistakes often lead to similar regrets.

On each of the EP’s three tracks, her passionate delivery feels much like raw streams of consciousness, flooding with emotion, which seems to be Lola’s sweet spot. She shifts seamlessly between the sharp lyrics of a scorned lover to one retracing her steps, showing a more vulnerable side. She says, “Renaissance is about rebirth, and so is this EP. It’s about learning through love and experience. Renaissance looks at my relationships, and the ideas of lust, love, loss and growth.” Her knack for capturing relatable emotions and experiences while speaking her truth is something that appeals to listeners twice her age. Meanwhile, her unique tone and British accent offer something extra, setting her apart from her peers.

Experience Lola Young’s Renaissance for yourself, making sure to add the EP to your collection from your preferred digital platform. While a number of her live appearances have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she is still scheduled to perform at the UK’s Lost Village Festival and will head out on tour in support of Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy at the end of August.
