Terrace Martin Is At It Again With Latest EP 'Impedance'

Another month, another Terrace Martin EP!  That's how it's been since February, and we've been loving this one-sided arrangement. He makes the music (with a little help from his friends) and we drink it up. Surprisingly, Mr. Martin isn't even close to being done with our playlists. In fact, his creativity can no longer be contained to a 30-day window.

At the end of April he dropped his third EP, Conscious Conversations. A fortnight afterward, he and Ric Wilson premiered their collaborative project They Call Me Disco. Now here we are, one week later and he drops yet another collection into our laps – a 5-track EP entitled Impedance.

Granted, the album mainly serves as a showcase for previously released singles "All I Own," "Trail Mix" (with Buddy and Rose Gold), "The Deuce" (featuring The Martin Family Trio) and "Beige" (with Arin Ray and Elena Pinderhughes). But as the title implies, the songs are woven together by a thematic thread, highlighted by new track "Issues." Singer Malaya uses her soulful vocals to coast the atmospheric waves of the jazzy R&B arrangement.
