We know we're not the only ones who kept Ledisi in heavy rotation over the holiday weekend. The SoulBounce fave has returned to her indie roots and put in that work for her tenth album The Wild Card – delivering an incredible collection of songs that make the most of her jazzy and soulful ways. While we'll have to wait a bit longer to see her perform our favorite tracks live-and-in-person, she recently dropped two visuals to help soothe our disappointment.
Ledisi's husband Ron T. Young is in the director's chair and uses his lens to create a lo-fi/vintage feel for current single "Wake Up." Whether delivering a motivational speech, head-nodding to classic albums, contemplating her next lyric or simply taking a stroll, Ledisi lights up the screen with her radiant smile and fly style. For her guest feature, Sa-Roc pops in with flowing locs and a red lip as fierce as her lyrical flow. Next, Brik.Liam comes through with a lyric video for the duet version of "Anything for You." The sweet animation features Ledisi and PJ Morton as they transform into superheroes, willing to risk it all to prove just how deep (and fireproof) true love can be.
