Snoh Aalegra Wows With 'Whoa' On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

It's been just over a year since Snoh Aalegra released her sophomore collection Ugh, those feels again, and in a world of albums that drop on a Friday that are forgotten by the following Monday, it still gets frequent spins. That's thanks in large part to the single "Whoa," which has become the shining star of the project. The catchy, sexy, cool song is currently sitting pretty in the top 20 of Billboard's Adult R&B chart, and the songstress might just see a bump in her chart position next week thanks to a TV appearance last night.

Snoh Aalegra made her late-night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform "Whoa." Although Jimmy Kimmel is still on summer vacation, guest host Samuel L. Jackson filled in for him quite nicely from the comfort of his home as he enthusiastically introduced Snoh. (To hear him dramatically pronounce her album title Ugh, those feels again was classic Sam.) In a pre-recorded performance, Snoh and her band practiced soulful social distancing on a soundstage bathed in peach and cream hues with clouds of white smoke covering the ground. While all of her band members wore head-to-toe winter white, Snoh was adorned in a sparkly silver number with fringes that swayed with her every move that would make '70s Cher envious. Miss Aalegra gave us Las Vegas glamour with her look and live vocals that matched the sweet peaches-and-cream dreaminess of the set.

Although her concerts are canceled indefinitely, we look forward to seeing more of Snoh Aalegra performing live on our television, computer and phone screens in the coming weeks and months. She's definitely set the bar pretty high with this performance.
