She's been dropping singles and visuals for a while now, but our girl Rochelle Jordan is officially back now that she's announced her album Play With The Changes. The set will feature previously released singles "All Along" and "Got Em" among its 12 tracks. And before it arrives next month, she's dropping off another fresh listen and view with the release of the single "Next 2 You."
"Next 2 You" once again features the potent combination of KLSH and Machinedrum on production duties. The fellas whip up a futuristic slice of R&B that features wavy synths and snapping drums that knock. RoJo, meanwhile, brings the sexy as she makes her wants and desires known. "Why oh why, you’re on my mind / The way you look at me / It makes me feel alive," she sings. "I’m walking into your realm / Anomaly, all around/ So baby / I’m just trying to get next to you."
The visual for the track picks up on the song's glitchy, trippy sound. It starts with a simple enough premise as Rochelle looks absolutely fierce in several curated looks. She and her leading man sit across from each other in various scenes and even share a kiss. With the power of special effects, a widening distance is shown between them as she fights to come closer. As the video ends, that distance is closed and sealed with a kiss that makes the rain literally come down as the video gives us a wet and sexy finish.
Nope, Rochelle Jordan isn't playing with us this time around. Play With The Changes is set to be released on April 30th via TOKiMONSTA's Young Art Records and can be pre-ordered now.
