If you were hoping to get tickets to the star-packed Lights On Festival, which is curated by singer-songwriter H.E.R., this September in the Bay Area, we have bad news for you. The event proved to be catnip to music fans missing live performances and sold out soon after tickets were made available. However, there's no need to be sad as the talented singer-songwriter is doing a Brooklyn edition of the festival October 21st-22nd.
Joining the GRAMMY darling are a who's who of R&B heavyweights who are sure to bring some soul to Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Co-headlining alongside the multi-instrumentalist will be Brooklyn's own Maxwell, who has been known to put on the quite the show. Also joining the two-day event are artists both classic and on the rise, including SWV, 6LACK, Bryson Tiller, Lucky Daye, Chloe Bailey, Victoria Monet, Joyce Wrice, Skip Marley, Tone Stith, Queen Naija, Ari Lennox, BLXST and more to be announced. And seeing as many of the included have collaborated with H.E.R. in the past, we wouldn't be surprised if a few of those collaborations are brought to the stage.
General admission tickets for the festival go on sale this Friday (July 23rd) via Ticketmaster. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on a code, you can also get in on the pre-sale that starts today. For more info about the festival, including updates on the artists taking the stage and set times, head to the event's official website.
