GoldLink surprised us this summer when his latest collection of jams HARAM! arrived. The melodic rapper has also, surprisingly, done very little in way of promoting the record. That seems to be changing now, though, as he's finally dropped a visual from the set, giving life to his Flo Milli collaboration "Raindrops."
GoldLink takes some inspiration from familiar moments in pop culture for the clip. In particular, he cribs a few stylistic elements from Drake's "Hotline Bling." After we get a taste of the song's sneaky sample of Tamia's "Officially Missing You," we see GoldLink doing his own riff of the infamous dance Drake did in the aforementioned video. We then realize that we're watching him rock on the fictional television channel "GTV Base" before Flo kicks the song's chorus on her "FLOH-1" station while looking like a Love & Hip Hop star. The channels don't stop turning, though, as we flip to something that looks like Dance Dance Revolution meets Cartoon Network. Despite the style jack here, the short-but-sweet clip is pretty fun to watch.
In addition to the video, the artist also announced a nine-city tour set to kick off at the end of this month. Simply dubbed the HARAM! Tour, the jaunt will kick off on September 28th in Denver before taking GoldLink on a spate of dates throughout the month of October and capping off on October 21st in Los Angeles.
