After a whole year and a half worth of plans and trips got kicked to the curb during the COVID-19 pandemic, Team SoulBounce couldn’t wait to get back on the road — safely and with strict protocols in place, of course – to rev up our Sound Travels series. In November we did just that with a much-needed getaway to celebrate life with an ‘80s and ‘90s hip-hop and R&B-themed girls’ trip with a few of our music-loving sister-friends powered by Cadillac and the 2021 Escalade.
Nicknaming ourselves “The Golden Era Girls” – think The Golden Girls sitcom meets LL Cool J’s “Around The Way Girl” – the trip was also a celebration of SoulBounce’s Director of Operations Susan Wright’s 50th birthday. This golden milestone called for going all out, and although we had originally planned to go overseas, due to the ongoing threat of COVID-19 and travel restrictions, we decided to stay a little closer to home in the DMV and make it a road trip. We scoured Vrbo for days and found the perfect accommodations aptly named Lap of Luxury in Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. Reservations were made, plans were finalized and the trip could not come soon enough.
When it was time to finally hit the road, we wanted to do it up in style for the occasion. Our friends at Cadillac said “Say less!” and provided us with the official whip for the trip, a 2021 Cadillac Escalade Premium Luxury.
