Verzuz is kicking off its third season of artist battles with something for all of us soul music fans. SoulBounce faves and contemporary soul icons Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soulchild are scheduled to go head-to-head and song-for-song in a battle for soul supremacy on Tuesday, February 15th.
AHam and Musiq will be coming at us live from Los Angeles for the first Verzuz of 2022 in what is sure to be quite a showdown. The artists will go up against each other on stage in a live performance setting for 20 rounds of soul sanging. Each singer will go back and forth singing songs from their stacked arsenal of classics, hits, jams and fan favorites. Both artists have their strengths, and they will definitely play to them during this friendly competition between homies.
Although this Verzuz will happen the day after Valentine's Day, this event is being billed as a "Valentine's Day Special." Considering that both Hamilton and Soulchild's catalogs are heavy on the love songs, that makes perfect sense. We just can't wait to witness two of our favorite artists in action on the Verzuz platform and to get soul music wasted.
