I think it's very important that we don't paint all Hip-Hop with the same brush. People like Bill O'Reilly thrive on these blanket generalizations and rhetoric, and there needs to be a movement in place to educate not only Hip-Hop listeners, but the media on the differences between Hip-Hop artists.
