Diggin' In the Crates: A Remix From Our 'Golden' Girl

We had quite a Battle of the Beats last week with the "Golden" showdown. I was convinced that Jill Scott's song was gonna beat the brakes off of the Chrisette Michelle track, but how mistaken was I? Who knew that Ms. Michele had so many new and true fans? But, alas, it was Jill who had a slight advantage. So to celebrate her "win" I dug in the crates and found this "Golden" remix.

A few years ago when I was hooked on eBay (don't act like I'm the only one), I picked up this "Golden" CD-single and it had this house remix on there. I had first heard the song on DJ Aaron Ross' soulful house show on BBC 1Xtra and had to get my hands on it. After some heated bidding, the disc became mine and I've been grooving ever since.

Sadly, after five years in the mix, DJ Aaron Ross no longer broadcasts his show on 1Xtra, but word is that he has a new weekly global radio show in the works. Until then, Jill Scott and DJ Aaron Ross fans, this one is for you.
