Dr. Donda West (1949-2007)

It is with a heavy heart that I report that Dr. Donda West, Kanye West's mother, has passed away. Details of her passing have not yet been released, but word is that she died suddenly in Los Angeles on Saturday night. Having just interviewed Dr. West when she was in Washington, D.C. for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference, I am especially saddened.

The SoulBounce staff extends our prayers and condolences to Dr. West's family.

My friends and I so happened to be discussing you and when we heard the news our faces froze and my heart sank. The pain of losing a loved one is unbearable. You and yours are in my prayers!
