More Casting News Announced For 'The Vapors'
As previously reported on SoulBounce, a movie detailing The Juice Crew's rise to fame entitled The Vapors has been greenlit and already been cast with Keke Palmer (Akeelah & The Bee) as Roxanne Shanté
and Clifton Powell (The Gospel, Dead Presidents) as Mr. Magic. New reports are now naming Cuba Gooding, Jr. as Juice Crew ringleader Marley Marl, David Banner as Biz Markie, and SoulBounce favorite (at least among its female editorial staff) Idris Elba as Fly Ty. We're making serious side-eyes at the decision to cast Evan Ross as MC Shan and Jackie Long as Big Daddy Kane, but, hey, there's a lot you can do with prosthetics these days. Still no word if this will be a theatrical feature or straight-to-bootleg release.
