Diggin' in the Crates, House of Soul
Aaliyah & Armand Do It For the DnB Heads
So I came across Armand Van Helden's Drum 'N Bass remix of "One In A Million". Van Helden is major, having remixed tracks for Diddy, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears. But his biggest hits (at least for me) are house classics "U Don't Know Me" with Duane Harden and "Witch Doktor". Can the children feel me on this?
As with most Drum 'N Bass, this mix is dark and futuristic, very Matrix-y, and embodies the aesthetic that has always been a part of Aaliyah's mystique. This is probably the only remix of "One In a Million" that flips the original without sacrificing the feel.

I love "Flowerz!" That is my favorite cut from that CD. there's a little tiny sample in that song from Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes' "Wake Up Everybody" that just makes that song ever so special, and the vocals kill it, too! Armand seems to have fallen by the wayside in the past couple of years, no? You don't see him as often, if at all, on anyone's remixes. Wonder what's going on with that?

@ singer: "Flowerz" is my joint! Roland turns it out!
nOvaMaticDon't sleep on Flowerz though! And the album cover was so disturbing since it was a little African boy holding a semi-automatic weapon.
