A Soulful Noise
Do You, Danger Mouse, Take Cee-Lo To Be Your Wife?
New photos of the dynamic duo Gnarls Barkley have hit the net and they are a riot. No stranger to playing dress up, these two have been seen as everything from Clark Kent and Superman to the Cowardly Lion and Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz but never before as a bride and groom. In one look Danger Mouse can be seen in a '70s-style tux, and the fashionista that is Cee-Lo is wearing a plus-size wedding gown from the same era. In another flick Mr. Mouse is in a gray pinstripe suit, and Mr. Green can be seen in a beaded off-the-shoulder number that shows off all of his upper body tattoos. So sexy. I wonder if it's gonna be a June wedding?

First off I would Like To say that I love Gnarls Barkley as artists.Cee Lo is a amazing. Also I strongly agree with Big Gipp when he made the comment mentioning "I ain't ever heard a wack verse from Cee Lo".The other day I went into Cat's to buy the album(Gnarls Barkley 'The Odd Couple') and I just happen to see the Monitor This! magazine with Gnarls Barkley on the front cover, and I couldn't believe my eyes.Cee Lo in a Muthafuckin(wedding)dress(but they put Danger Mouse in the suit). Now what kinda shit is that.Just another example of Enfeminizing the Black Man.Which is a Ritual.Ask yourself why do they always want to put a nigga in a dress(especially in Hollywood)?Like Dave Chappelle said on the Oprah show "somebody need to take a stand"And Cee Lo brother you know better, and I know you do cause we have cross paths and have discussed things like this. Now how do you explain to the youth or your own children when they see daddy in a dress. What you gone say"Oh it's not real,it's just for a photo shoot.Or"they paid me a lot of money to do it".So now it's cool for them to punk a black man out for money,or its cool to put on dress and misrepresent manhood for money.'HELL TO THE NAW"it ain't.To fuckin much niggas is portraying black people in a negative light(especially black men)And you in a dress nigga, standing beside a white man in a suit don't help the shit at all.Especially a brother(Cee Lo)thats aware of the games that "THEY" play.Ain't no love lost, but a lil respect is.

Fave | February 14, 2008 2:04 PM | PermalinkOkay, that second pic is a hoot! I love the fact that Cee-Lo has a cigarette in his hand. It's like he's saying, "Let's get this over with because I have some place else to be in 10 minutes."
