Welcome back to
Name That Beat!
Last week's sample of "Rhapsody In Blue" by
Deodato which was sampled by
Black Sheep on their "Gimmie The Finga" was correctly guessed by newcomer
SoulStar. Good job! I'm loving how y'all have been dropping hints and helping each other out in the comments. Nice to see the music love being spread around.
This week's beat is below. Neophytes to NTB, this is for you: Your answer must include the title and artist of the original track below and the artist and title of the track who sampled it.
All others, you know what to do.
Good luck!

Lynne d Johnson | March 27, 2008 8:11 PM | PermalinkGood Catch. New work hours are killing my NTB time. I will have to have a talk with my HR rep 1st thing in the morning.
Nothing like listening to a song Premo used to make you realize, Hip Hop is about expression.
I think I should trademark that now. Hip-Hop is about Expression.™

Quibian Salazar@earthlink.net | March 26, 2008 1:14 AM | PermalinkIt took me a minute to figure this one out, but I think I got it.
The track is "Don't Misunderstand" by Ahmad Jamal and it's sampled on "One Day" by Jeru. (Premo!)
