Talib Kweli continues to prove he's one of the most consistent emcees in the game today. His newest effort,
The MCEO Mixtape, is a collaboration between Kweli and DJ
Mick Boogie. The 32-track mixtape, while not actually a physical "mixtape" as many of us older heads remember, is a must for any Kweli fan looking to have a collection of his most recent works, including his work with
Res in
Idle Warship, his collabos with
Jean Grae, and the "Hostile Gospel" remix which dropped yesterday featuring twin chanteuses
Nina Sky and rappers-on-the-rise NYC's
Joell Ortiz and LA's
Blu. This mixtape is a good look for the Spring since Kweli will be dropping more gems from his current album
Eardrum as the weather heats up. The MCEO Mixtape tracklisting and download can be accessed
here.
