#88 Toni Braxton 'How Many Ways'
"How Many Ways" was the sixth and final single released from Toni Braxton's self-titled debut CD. I loved the track because it really gave us a peek at tiny Toni's powerhouse voice. It's no surprise that Braxton herself co-wrote the track, as it celebrated the myriad ways she loved her man, counting them off like a David Letterman Top Ten.
The song had an extended shelf life on radio thanks to the R. Kelly "no talk" remix, and of course, all the ladies went completely wild when actor/model Shemar Moore popped up in the video as the object of Ms. Braxton's affection. Me, personally? I loved Toni for her trademark haircut that fit her face just so. *swoon* I often wish there was an opportunity to go back to that era of R&B, when artists like Toni were untouched by the industry and still hungry.
How many ways I'd love that. For real.

Had a slight disagreement with my dad the other day. I let him borrow my Toni Braxton "Secrets" album and proclaimed that I thought it the best of all her records. He then corrected me and said, no, her first album is the best. You posted this song and I'm inclined to agree with my dad. I had forgotten just how good that entire first record was! Love it!
