A Soulful Noise, Soul On Film
Leona Lewis Songs Wanted For Big Movies
The good news just keeps raining down on Leona Lewis. After topping the US charts last week with "Bleeding Love," the British bombshell's hit song is caught in the middle of a bidding war from various movie studios who want to use it in their films. The track is garnering seven-figure offers to be featured in upcoming "blockbuster" films, and other songs from her debut album Spirit are also under consideration.
I'm not mad Leona coming up on some serious ends, but God forbid these studios actually encourage artists to create some new music to use in movies instead of regurgitating previously released songs and licensing them for exorbitant fees. [M&C]
