Apparently, a lot of people love Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama these days. R&B singer Shanice--yes, that Shanice--is the latest artist to plant themselves firmly on Team Obama with a song appropriately entitled "The President We Need." The track first appeared last week on her MySpace page, and just yesterday, an accompanying video popped up on YouTube. Endorsements aside, it's great to hear Shanice's vocals again. Her last release was 2006's Every Woman Dreams. This latest offering is undoubtedly a warm-up to the new album she's promising for later this year. We'll definitely keep you posted on that. In the meantime, check the Obama-love clip below and get caught up in the photo montage. I know I did.

A song about the president, I mean prospective president, sounds corny. But ole gal blew that song out the water. We need more vocalists instead of entertainers.
